La Liebre Films is a collective creation studio based in the mountains of Tabio, Colombia. Created by filmmaker and artist Manuela Montoya, it is also a virtual space rooted on the need to develop local cinematographic and artistic interdisciplinary practices for women, children and young adults. The spirit is to be able to explore creative freedom, authorial creation, and research from a collective approach.
Subjects of work are ideas related to identity and nature, with an emphasis on simplicity, and media like paper, photography, color and cinema.
From that perspective on, we also work to design workshops through meaningful learning and doing experiences for people interested in life on our planet, too.
Currently we are developing the full-length documentary film De Niro is not my Dad about the footage of an unfinished film on the life of the narrator-filmmaker's father and actor Luis Fernando. He was Manuela's Dad. Partners of the project are Inercia Películas and TardeoTemprano Films.
Images from the latest drawing workshops are coming soon.
