Hice una serie de cortos documentales que observan la vida rural desde diferentes perspectivas. Concebidas por separado, éstas películas tienen en común que muestran un mismo interés por la relación entre las personas, los animales y las plantas. Visionados uno después del otro, éstos videos expresan un interés por encontrar cómo las estructuras narrativas y el montaje cinematográfico sirven al video como medio etnográfico y plástico. La aproximación conduce a una forma ligera, silenciosa y contemplativa de grabar que permite que la vida registrada encuentre su propia forma audiovisual, algo similar a lo que Tarkovsky llamó esculpir en el tiempo.
 

I made a series of short documentaries that look at rural life from different perspectives. Conceived separately, these films have in common that they show the same interest in the relationship between people, animals, and plants. Viewed one after the other, these videos express an interest in finding how narrative structures, and cinematographic montage serves video as an ethnographic and plastic medium. The approach leads to a light, silent, and contemplative way of shooting that allows the recorded life to find its own audiovisual form, something similar to what Tarkovsky called sculpting in time.
